Blockshutter E 90

Overview

The Blockshutter E 90 is a fire-resistant rolling shutter designed for compartmentalisation and fire protection in commercial and industrial settings. Tested to guarantee system integrity up to 1000°C for 90 minutes (E 90 performance), it operates as a normal daily-use shutter with dead-man controls and automatically closes on fire alarm activation.

Key Features

  • Full daily-use operation — functions as a standard rolling shutter
  • Automatic fire closure on alarm activation
  • Dead-man controls for safe daily operation
  • Class 2 wind load rating — suitable for most industrial applications
  • CE marked with Declaration of Performance documentation
  • Compliant with EN 16034:2014 and EN 13241+A2:2016
  • Standard powder coating | Custom colours available

Applications

Standard fire compartmentalisation for large openings in industrial and commercial buildings. Where E 90 fire integrity is required and thermal radiation control is not specified. Suitable for warehouses, factories, shopping centres, and parking facilities.

Certifications

  • CE marked | Declaration of Performance (DOP)
  • EN 16034:2014 — Fire-resistant and smoke control door and window assemblies
  • EN 13241+A2:2016 — Industrial, commercial and garage doors

Blockshutter EI 60/120

Overview

The Blockshutter EI 60/EI 120 is our highest-rated fire rolling shutter, providing full thermal insulation in addition to fire integrity for 60 or 120 minutes. The ultimate fire protection option for facilities requiring a complete heat barrier — limiting the temperature rise on the safe side for the full rated duration.

Key Features

  • Highest EI fire rating — full thermal insulation for 60 or 120 minutes
  • Limits temperature rise on the safe side of the shutter
  • Available in two ratings: EI 60 or EI 120
  • Standard daily-use operation with automatic fire closure
  • CE certified with separate Declarations of Performance for EI 60 and EI 120
  • Compliant with EN 16034:2014 and EN 13241+A2:2016
  • For the most demanding fire protection applications

Applications

For facilities where complete thermal protection is required by regulation or building design — hospitals, pharmaceutical facilities, data centres, archive rooms, cold chain facilities, and any building with sensitive assets requiring maximum passive fire protection.

Certifications

  • CE certified | DOP (CPR-6830 for EI 60, CPR-4980 for EI 120)
  • EN 16034:2014 | EN 13241+A2:2016

Blockshutter EW 120

Overview

The Blockshutter EW 120 provides 120 minutes of fire integrity while limiting thermal radiation to below 15 kW/m² on the unexposed side — protecting people and property from dangerous radiated heat. Ideal for large openings in high-traffic commercial environments where occupant safety from radiated heat is a design requirement.

Key Features

  • 120-minute integrity — longest standard E-class rating for rolling shutters
  • Radiation limiting — keeps heat below 15 kW/m² on safe side
  • Protects occupants who may be near the shutter during evacuation
  • Standard daily-use operation with dead-man controls
  • Automatic fire closure on alarm
  • CE marked with Declaration of Performance (CPR-4981)
  • EN 16034:2014 and EN 13241+A2:2016 compliant
  • Custom sizes and colours available

Applications

Recommended for high-traffic public buildings where protecting people from radiated heat is a priority — shopping centres, department stores, car parks, and large public areas where E 90 integrity is not sufficient and EI insulation is not required.

Certifications

  • CE marked | DOP (CPR-4981)
  • EN 16034:2014 | EN 13241+A2:2016

Fire Resistant Roller Shutter Doors

Our fire-resistant roller shutter doors feature a vertically moving system with a maximum fire resistance of 90 minutes (EW and EI classification). Each door is custom designed and fabricated to suit specific openings and operational requirements, with a range of steel profiles and thicknesses (0.6 mm, 0.8 mm or 1.0 mm) and optional powder-coated finishes in a wide range of colours.

Operating mechanisms include manual push/pull, chain-driven, gearbox-operated or electric motor-driven options. A comprehensive range of locking devices — barrel bolts, chain locks and pin locks — can be combined for ultra-high security applications. Professional installation and operator training are included as standard.
