Our History
Founded in Durban in 1999 by Nigel Milln, Dockleveller Supplies began as a specialist supplier of dock levellers to the KwaZulu-Natal market. Over the following two decades, the business expanded its product range, established in-house manufacturing capabilities, and developed a national service network covering Durban, Johannesburg, and Cape Town. Today we are one of South Africa’s most established loading bay solution providers, supplying and supporting clients from cold chain logistics operators and FMCG manufacturers to government and municipal facilities.
What We Do
We design, manufacture, supply, install, and service the complete range of loading bay and industrial access equipment. Our six specialist divisions cover every area of the loading bay environment:
- Dock-Rite — Dock levellers, dock shelters, dock seals, vehicle restraints and yard ramps
- Door-Rite — Industrial high-speed doors, roller shutter doors and sectional overhead doors
- Lift-Rite — Scissor lifts, goods lifts, mezzanine lifts and freight elevators
- Flood-Rite — Flood barriers and spill containment systems
- Fire-Rite — Fire-rated doors and fire safety systems
- Serv-Rite — Service, repairs and preventative maintenance for all equipment types
We serve clients across cold chain logistics, retail distribution, FMCG manufacturing, automotive, government and municipal infrastructure.
How We Build
All Dock-Rite equipment is manufactured in-house at our Pinetown production facility, using locally sourced steel and components supplemented by carefully selected imported parts chosen for performance and long-term reliability. Local manufacturing means faster delivery, readily available spare parts, and full accountability from design through to after-sales — with no dependence on overseas supply chains. Our production and quality control processes are overseen by experienced engineers who understand the demands of South Africa’s industrial environments.
Our Commitment to Quality
We engineer for longevity, not lowest cost. Our clients typically see a lower total cost of ownership because our equipment requires fewer repairs, carries readily available local spares, and lasts significantly longer in demanding operational environments. All Dock-Rite products are backed by a full manufacturer’s warranty, and our Serv-Rite division provides ongoing maintenance support to protect that investment for the long term.
